Franz Petter (Tenor) (June 4, 1869 Innsbruck, Austria - September 11, 1943 Innsbruck, Austria)



He learned in the company of his father the occupation of a joiner and took over after his death this company. His voice was discovered in a Tirol society. He studied singing in Berlin under Schulze-Strelitz. First he gave a recitals in Berlin, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Copenhagen and Dresden, partly together with the pianist Sophie Menter, and made his operatic debut in 1895 at the Berlin Hofoper in Flotow’s ‘’Alessandro Stradella’’. Later he completed his education with the pedagogue Eduard Bellwidt in Frankfurt am Main.
