Georg Maikl (Tenor) (Zell am Ziller, Austria April 4, 1872 - Vienna, Austria August 22, 1951)





His voice was discovered by the famous impresario Bernhard Pollini in Prague and he studied singing under Anton Hromada in Stuttgart. He made his debut in 1899 in Mannheim as Tamino in ‘’The Magic Flute’’. His daughter, soprano Lieselotte Maikl, also appeared at the Staatsoper in Vienna.
