Maria Verger (Mezzo-Soprano) (Palermo 1873 - Roma 1938)



Daughter of baritone Napoleone Verger and mezzo-soprano Amalia Brambilla she made her debut in 1896 at the Teatro Dauno of Foggia in Donizetti’s ‘’Favorita’’. She retired from the stage in 1916. She made 3 records for Odeon Fonotipia.

  1. Buonasera, Maria Verger is my grand- grandmother and there is a mistake : her father was Oreste Verger , teacher of mathematic ,her mother Giuseppina Naselli , Napoleone Verger was her uncle , Amalia Brambilla was her grand mother . Thank you very much
