Ettore Gandolfi (Bass) (Piella, near Turin 1862 – Moscow 1931)

He studied at the Conservatorio of Napoli under F. Scafatti and G. Miceli and made his debut in 1882. Till 1908 he appeared as concert singer and after his retirement Gandolfi taught singing in Berlin (1904-1907) and then in Kiev (from 1913-1923) and Moscow (1923-1930), where he and died.
