Charlotte Marie Agussol (Soprano) (Toulon 1863 - Paris 1953)



Till 1887 she studied at the Conservatoire de Paris and made her debut at the Paris Grand Opéra in 1888 as Urbano in ‘’Gli Ugonotti’’ of Meyerbeer. In 1888 she sang the role of Stéphano in the première of Gounod’s ‘’Roméo et Juliette’’ with Adelina Patti, Jean and Édouard de Reszke, Jean-Francois Delmas and Léon Melchissèdec. In 1893 she sang at the Grand Opéra in the French première of ‘’Walkiria’’. In 1899 she sang there the role of Ascagne in the première of ‘’La Prise de Troie’’ of  Berlioz. Later she active at the Grand Opéra as comprimario.
